Less Than a Coffee, Sorted
Honestly, most people's car first aid kit is a complete myth. You think you have one, then you open the glovebox and find a dry pen and a parking ticket. The Astroplast Vivo Van and Truck kit is sitting at just over two quid right now, which is almost embarrassingly cheap for something that covers the basics: plasters, bandages, a foil blanket, the sort of stuff you actually need when someone's scraped a knee on a layby or worse.
The mounting bracket is a nice touch. It clicks into place so the kit isn't rattling around under the seat for six months before you even remember it exists. If you drive a van for work, that matters more than you'd think.
Who This Is Actually For
Trade drivers, delivery folk, anyone doing long motorway runs regularly. Also, honestly, any parent who's been driving their kids about and thought "I really should sort that out." This isn't a trauma kit. It won't sort out anything serious. But for cuts, minor burns, or a headache mid-journey, it does the job.
My one reservation: the contents are fairly minimal. If you're after something with proper gloves, a CPR mask, or eye wash, you'll want to spend more. This is the starter kit, not the full works.
At this price though, there's no real argument against chucking one in every vehicle you own. It's not glamorous. It's just sensible.
