What You're Actually Getting
Lu Le Petit Chocolat are a French classic, and honestly, they've got no business being this good at this price. Thin little biscuits, proper snap to them, coated in milk chocolate that's sweet without being cloying. Not fancy. Not trying to be. Just quietly excellent with a coffee at your desk at half ten in the morning.
I had a pack of these on a long train journey once, fully intending to have two. Finished the lot before Birmingham. That's the kind of biscuit we're dealing with.
Who This Is Actually For
If you're after something to impress at a dinner party, move along. These are not that. They're for:
- People who want a light chocolate biscuit that isn't sickly
- Anyone who grew up eating these in France and misses them
- Desk snackers. You know who you are.
At under a quid on Subscribe & Save, the price is not half bad. The 100g size is small, mind. You'll get through it faster than you think, which is either a problem or a feature depending on your self-control.
One Honest Reservation
The portion size is the catch. 100g sounds fine until it's gone in a sitting. If you're subscribing, just be aware you might want to bump up the quantity, because one pack is not going to last a week in most households. Still, at this price per pack, stocking up makes sense. Community heat of 893 degrees on HotUKDeals suggests plenty of other people agree.
