What it actually is

It's a 25W fast charger from Samsung. Official, foldable plug pins, no cable in the box. That last bit matters: if you were hoping for a full charging kit, you'll need to supply your own USB-C cable. A bit cheeky, honestly, but not unusual at this price point.

The folding pin design is the whole reason to consider this over a generic block. Pack a bag in a hurry and a rigid plug snags on everything. This one folds flat. Small thing, but after one trip where a standard adapter punched a hole through a washbag lining, I started caring about that detail rather more than expected.

Who it suits

Pretty straightforward:

  • Galaxy phone users who want the official 25W speed without paying Samsung's premium full-kit prices
  • Anyone who travels light and needs a compact spare charger
  • People who've lost their original adapter and want a like-for-like replacement on the cheap

If you're charging a laptop or tablet that needs 45W or more, move on. This won't cut it.

The honest reservation

At this price, the build feels... fine. Not premium. The plastic is matte and inoffensive but it's not going to feel special in the hand. And no cable is a proper irritation if you're buying this as a first charger rather than a spare. Samsung know you've probably got one already, which is a fair assumption, but still.

For under eight quid though, if you're a Galaxy user who just needs a reliable, compact fast charger to leave in a work bag or suitcase permanently, this is spot on for the job.
