What you're actually getting
Sensodyne Repair and Protect is not the flashiest toothpaste on the shelf. No charcoal gimmicks, no whitening promises that never quite pan out. It does one thing: it targets the nerves in sensitive teeth with stannous fluoride, builds a protective layer over time, and the Extra Fresh variant at least makes your mouth feel like you've done something useful. Minty, not aggressively so.
Personally, I switched to this after a dental hygienist basically told me I was doing damage with a whitening paste. A few weeks in, hot coffee stopped being a small act of masochism. That's about as much as you can ask from a toothpaste, really.
Who this is actually for
Look, if your teeth are fine and you've never flinched at a cold drink, you don't need this. It's specifically for people who already know they have sensitivity issues, or whose dentist has nudged them in this direction. It's not a substitute for actual dental work if something's genuinely wrong.
The Amazon Business restriction is a bit annoying for regular shoppers, worth checking if you qualify before getting excited.
The Subscribe & Save bit
At around £2.12 on Subscribe & Save, this is a solid price for a toothpaste that usually sits closer to £4 in Boots. The 859 degree heat on HotUKDeals tells you the community agrees. Stock moves fast on these deals. Not half bad if you can lock it in.
