What you're actually getting
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite is Xiaomi's entry-level wearable, and it shows, in a good way mostly. Big screen for the price, decent battery life, health tracking basics covered. It's the kind of watch you'd buy for a teenager or as a first smartwatch before deciding if you actually want to spend proper money. Personally, I'd compare it to getting a cheap paperback at a car boot sale: low stakes, decent reward.
The Amazon Resale angle is worth understanding. "Acceptable" condition means cosmetic marks are on the table. If you're fussy about scratches on a watch face, go for "Very Good" or "Like New" and pay a few quid more. The difference matters here because the screen is large and flat, so scuffs show.
Who this is for (and who it isn't)
Spot on for someone who wants basic fitness tracking, sleep data, and notifications without spending £80+. It connects to your phone, tells you your heart rate, counts steps. It does what it says.
It's not for you if you're expecting smooth app integration or anything close to a Wear OS experience. Xiaomi's own app works fine but it's not exactly a joy to use. And if you're an iPhone user, functionality is trimmed down a fair bit, worth knowing before you buy.
The refurbished bit
Amazon Resale does come with a returns window, which takes most of the risk off. That said, no warranty beyond that. For under £25, the risk feels pretty manageable. Not half bad for what it is.
