What you're actually getting
Fifty-one Fairy Platinum lemon tablets. All-in-one format, so no separate rinse aid or salt faffing needed if your water isn't particularly hard. The lemon scent is mild, not that fake industrial citrus that hits you when you open the dishwasher. Glasses come out clear. Pans with dried-on pasta sauce? Mostly fine, honestly better than most supermarket own-brands I've put through the same machine.
I ran out of tablets mid-week once and grabbed a budget pack from the corner shop. Big mistake. Two washes to get the same result Fairy manages in one. That's the thing with Platinum specifically: it's not just the Fairy name, the formula is noticeably stronger than their standard range.
Who this is actually for
If you run your dishwasher daily, a 51-pack disappears faster than you'd think. This is a solid Subscribe and Save candidate if you're already using it. At the S&S price it works out to roughly 11p a tablet, which is hard to argue with for a tablet this capable.
Not for you if you're on very soft water and happy with a cheaper own-brand. Honestly, in that case you probably won't notice the difference enough to justify it.
One reservation
There's no dramatic discount here. No was-price crossed out in red. This is just a decent everyday price on a reliable product that the HotUKDeals community has flagged as worth grabbing. If you've been meaning to stock up, now is as good a time as any.
